China

The Beijing Olympics will start at 8pm on the 8th day of the 8th month in 2008. I know everyone is waiting to watch this famous event and witness what country will bring home a bacon. Number 8 has an important meaning in China . In China, 8 is a lucky number (the Chinese word for 8 - "ba"- sounds like the word for wealth.) So, this is the reason why China decided to start the most important event it's ever held at the luckiest possible moment.
